New Skin routine!

Hi guys, so lately I've been getting loads of questions about how I have got clearer skin in such a short space of time (considering I've had horrible bursts of acne for the past 3 years of my life). So I thought I should share with you all my current fave products and how I use them. Do bear in mind that I have oily/combination skin and what may work for me, may not always work with you, but it's worth trying out a new routine if what you're currently doing isn't working for you.

From left to right, the products shown in the image above are: No.7 Beautiful Skin Foaming cleanser (£9.50, Boots), Garnier Pure Active Matte Control (£4.66, Boots), Spin For Perfect Skin ($100, VanityPlanet), Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water (£3.29, Superdrug).

Step 1. I first use the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water, applying some to a facial cotton pad and removing all of my make-up (if I have any on).

Step 2. Next, I rinse my face and the Spin For Perfect Skin face brush with warm water and apply one pump of the No.7 Beautiful Skin Foaming cleanser to the wet brush head. Alternatively, you could use any facial cleansing brush with soft bristles at a much more affordable price, such as: No7 Beautiful Skin Cleansing Brush (£24.95, Boots).

Step 3. I begin by dabbing the Spin For Perfect Skin face brush while it is off on both my cheeks and my forehead and then turn it on and start by going in circular motions on my face. I begin this process on my right cheek, move to my nose, upper lip, left cheek, forehed, and finally my chin and neck. I mostly focus on my forehead, chin and nose as that is where my skin is the most oily and therefore more prone to acne.

Step 4. After doing this process for about 2-3 minutes, I rinse my face with warm water a few times to get rid of the No.7 Beautiful Skin Foaming cleanser from my skin. I then follow this by rinsing my face with slightly colder water in order to make sure that all of my pores are now closed. I pat my face dry with a clean towel- do no rub your face with the towel, it can irritate the skin as it is sensitive.

Step 5. Once my face is entirely dry, I use my Garnier Pure Active Matte Control to moisturise my face. It is important that you moisturise your face, even when you have oily skin- something I only learnt recently! The Garnier Pure Active Matte Control is great for my skin because it is a gel moisturiser- which wont just sit on the skin and block my pores like may moisturisers I have come across do.

I hope this post has helped you guys, and if it has, please do let me know! Mail me if you have any questions at douablogs@gmail.com and don't forget to follow my instagram @ndoua_

Goodluck, Doua x
