Microwave cookie dough in a mug

Do you ever get out of bed late at night, trying to find something that will satisfy your sweet cravings? I certainly do, and there is nothing I can think of that is easier and simpler than this cookie dough in a mug recipe.

And the best part is all you need too cook it with is a microwave!

No long waits at all!

All you will need:

  • 1 tablespoon of unsalted butter

  • 1 tablespoon of caster sugar

  • 1 tablespoon of brown sugar

  • A few drops of vanilla

essence

  • Pinch of salt

  • 1 egg yolk

  • 3 tablespoons plain flour

  • 2 tablespoons of milk chocolate chips

Also, you'll need a microwavable mug so that you can make the cookie dough in.

Step 1 - Using the microwave, melt the butter but make sure it does not cook! Once it has melted, add both the sugars and vanilla essence and stir well.

Step 2 - Next, add the salt and the egg yolk to the mixture and

stir until it becomes all mixed well.

Step 3 - After it is all blended well, add the flour, one spoon at a time and stiring thoroughly in between each spoonfull. The mixture should begin to look like that of a dough. Although if it is too thick, add a few drops of milk, and if it is too runny, add some more flour.

Step 4 - Add the chocolate chips. At this point you can begin to get creative and add in any of your favourite chocolate treats, for example m&m's or crushed up oreos.

Place this in the microwave for 60 seconds and keep checking it every 10/15 seconds. The key is to not overcook the dough or it will become too hard and will not taste good.

The final product should look something like this

I hope you guys enjoy making this, and let me know if you have any questions or comments by leaving a message in the message box on my home page.
